What things can you make with natural resources?
All good scientists have to do some research. I want you and your group to find the answers to these questions so we can come up with some hypotheses as to how these may help us out today.
Did you know you can make a battery out of dirt? An earth battery is a type of water-activated battery that produces an electrical current using electrochemical reactions in the soil.

What is Carbon Dioxide? Carbon dioxide is the same gas that is produced by the human lungs and is a biproduct of our respiratory system. We breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide.
As we can see from the chemical equation when vinegar and baking soda are added together we can see the formation of CO2 or Carbon Dioxide.
Follow up question: Do you think blowing a balloon up using your breath is faster or slower than with baking soda and vinegar. Why? Talk with your table partners about this question and support your hypothesis with research. Then test your theory!
